The text
Once a month, on a day you pick, we text you. You reply with a few sentences — the soup, the lost tooth, the small news that is the real news.
The pen
Your words are written out in real ink, with a real pen, exactly as you sent them, onto paper with weight to it. No printing, no templates. Nothing added.
The mailbox
It arrives postmarked, addressed in ink, with a stamp worth looking at. It gets opened standing up, and kept in the drawer where the good ones live.

01Why not just buy a card?
Please do — for the moments you hand it over yourself. For the mailed kind, the honest math: five dollars for the card, a stamp, a trip to the post office — in the right week of every month. For $19.99 the whole ritual happens: your words, a real pen, paper made to be kept, their mailbox. A card gets a week on the mantel. A letter gets a drawer.
02How are the letters written?
Every Written Ink letter is written in real ink, with a real pen, on quality paper — not printed. Your words go onto the page exactly as you sent them, nicknames and inside jokes and all. If anything is unclear — an autocorrect gone wrong — we ask you rather than guess.
03What if I have nothing to say this month?
Three sentences is a letter. What you cooked, what the kids said, what the weather ruined. To them, none of it is small.
04What happens if I skip a month?
Reply SKIP to the reminder and that's the end of it — no letter, no charge, no questions. If a month is billed but you never send words, the letter banks: it never expires, and it's still yours even if you cancel.
05Can I write to more than one person?
Your membership covers one letter a month, to anyone in your address book — your mom this month, your brother the next. Extra letters in the same month are $9.99 for members.
06How do I cancel?
