One printed letter is $10.99. The membership is a dollar more — a letter every month.
Written Ink is written in real pen and ink. Printed Ink is printed in a handwriting style and mailed in an envelope. No postcards, ever — a letter is a private thing.
How billing works
Billing you can love back.
Every rule below is written into the product, not the fine print.
Reply SKIP to any month's text. No letter, no charge, no questions.
01Unused months roll over without expiring — and they're still yours even if you cancel.
02If twelve unused letters pile up, we stop charging you until you catch up.
03No phone call. No maze. Your banked letters come with you.
04And one vow above all of it: your words are sacred — no AI writing, no templates, ever.
Prepaid, by the date
For the days you already know.
A pack is a set of letters, each one assigned to a date. We remind you when one's near; you reply; it's sent. Because the dates are set in advance, a pack costs a little less per letter than the membership — and the letters never expire.
The Birthday Circle
Eight birthdays, covered for the year. Assign a date to each; we remind you when one's near.
or $59.99 printed
The Big Four
Christmas, Valentine's, Mother's Day, Father's Day — the four the whole family is watching for.
or $31.99 printed
Add-on
Days Only You Remember
One more date only the two of you know — an anniversary, a first day, the morning someone was born.
or +$7.99 printed
Just one
The letters you can't schedule.
The moments that arrive without warning are the reason we exist. Full price, never discounted — a single letter is $15.99 in real pen, or $10.99 printed.
The Sympathy Note
For the loss that a text can't hold.
The Thank-You
For the kindness you want to weigh something.
The Congratulations
For the news worth keeping in a drawer.
Send one, and whenever you're ready, your $15.99 can become the first of eight birthdays — the single you already paid for opens The Birthday Circle.
Giving it to someone else?
Written Ink, Gifted is a prepaid membership — three, six, or twelve months of real-ink letters, from $59.99. It never auto-renews.
Questions
Asked plainly, answered plainly.
01Why not just buy a card?
Please do — for the moments you hand it over yourself. For the mailed kind, the honest math: five dollars for the card, a stamp, a trip to the post office — in the right week of every month. A membership is that whole ritual done for $19.99, in real ink, on paper made to be kept. A card gets a week on the mantel. A letter gets a drawer.
02What's the difference between Written Ink and Printed Ink?
Written Ink is written in real pen and ink — the premium. Printed Ink is printed in a handwriting style and mailed sealed in an envelope, for a dollar more per month than a single printed letter would cost. Both are your exact words. Neither is ever a postcard.
03Is a letter a whole month's worth?
One letter a month is what the membership includes, to anyone in your address book. Need a second in the same month? Members add one for $9.99 Written Ink or $6.99 printed — the cheapest letter in the whole lineup, because the best price always comes with the deepest commitment.
04How does The Thoughtful Year save money?
The annual is $199.99 for thirteen letters — the twelve months plus a bonus occasion letter — which works out to $15.38 a letter, less than a single and less than a month-to-month year. Every letter is granted the day you join, so you can send them whenever the moments come.
05Do prepaid letters expire?
Never. Pack letters, banked membership months, annual letters — all of them keep. They're still yours even if you cancel, and if a dozen pile up we stop charging you until you've caught up.
06Can I change or cancel later?
One click, on one page — no phone call, no maze. Switch Written Ink to Printed Ink, pause a while, or leave entirely; your unsent letters come with you either way.
Start with one, or start the habit.
