For the one who means to write

A gift of months of letters, each one written in the recipient's own words and mailed in real ink.

Choose the length

Three, six, or twelve months.

Every length is the same gift — real-ink letters, in their own words. The longer you give, the less each letter costs, and the more it becomes a habit worth keeping.

Three months

$59.993 letters · about $20 a letter

A season of staying close — enough to prove the habit is worth keeping.

Give three months

Six months

$109.996 letters · about $18 a letter

Half a year of letters — long enough to become the thing they look forward to.

Give six months

Buying it for yourself? The Thoughtful Year is the better deal — the same $199.99, a thirteenth letter, and it keeps going instead of stopping. Gifts are made to be given. See pricing.

How gifting works

Given in a minute. Kept all year.

  1. 01

    Choose the length

Three, six, or twelve months. Prepaid in one payment — the price you see is the whole price.

  2. 02

    We deliver the gift

A note in your words, sent by text or email the moment you choose — today, or the morning of the occasion.

  3. 03

They opt in from their phone

They confirm from their own number and add the people they'd like to write to. Nothing starts until they say so.

  4. 04

    The letters begin

Each month we text them; they reply with a few sentences; we mail the letter in real ink. When the months run out, it simply ends.

Why letters

The gift that keeps arriving.

Most gifts are opened once. This one shows up again every month, in someone else's mailbox, in real ink and in words only your person would use — and it turns the one you gave it to into the family member everyone wishes they had. You didn't buy an object. You gave someone the habit of staying close.

Written Ink, Gifted

From $59.99

Prepaid, real ink, and it never turns into a bill. Give the letters they've been meaning to write.

Questions

The gift, explained plainly.

01Will they get charged when it ends?

Never. A gift is prepaid and non-renewing — we don't keep a card on file for the person you're giving it to. When the months you bought run out, the letters simply stop. If they want to keep going, they can start their own membership, on their own terms.

02I don't know their mailing addresses. Is that a problem?

Not at all. You don't send us anyone's address — the person you're gifting adds the people they want to write to when they opt in. All you need to send the gift is their phone number or email.

03Can I choose when the gift arrives?

Yes. Send it now, or schedule the reveal for the morning of a birthday, an anniversary, or Mother's Day. You write the gift note; they open it when the day comes.

04Does the person I'm gifting need a smartphone?

Just a phone that can send and receive texts — that's all it takes to reply each month. The people they write to need nothing but a mailbox.

05Is it real pen, or printed?

Real pen and ink, always — gifting is Written Ink only. A gift should be the good version.

06What if I'm buying it for myself?

Then a gift isn't your best deal — The Thoughtful Year is the same $199.99 with a thirteenth letter, and it keeps going instead of ending after twelve. Gifts are built to be given.
